Bandaid of nature
You dont need a bandaid when you get a small cut on your hand. Nature provides one for you.
Hold your hand above your head until the bleeding stops, and you are fine. It takes maybe 15 minutes, depending on the size of the cut.
NB! This tip does not work for large cuts.
When you get a cut, your blood pressure will drive blood out of it. Blood will then start to build up outside the cut. When enough has built up, it will start to drip. But when you raise your hand in the air, the blood pressure in your hand is lowered. That prevents the build up to get large enough for the blood to start dripping.
Even though it is messy and impractical to bleed, the blood actually helps you in a number of ways.
- It cleans the cut from the inside out.
- It transports infection combating white blood cells to the cut.
- It coagulates to form the perfect bandaid.
