Basic envelope

The Basic envelope can be folded with a wide variety of paper formats.

The envelopes size depends primarily on the paper format you use.

This practice sheet has helpful preprinted folding lines. You might find it easier to follow than the instructions above.

Print PDF double sided (duplex, long-edge binding). If you print PNG you have to print the same paper sheet two times. Print results can vary between different print setups. Printing is like that. If you have problems with edges of the print not aligning with the edges of the paper, try to print a reduced size (like 60%), and trim the paper afterwards.

The Basic envelope is a traditional origami design.
